In a cozy corner of the North Country, the small town of Massena recently played host to a cozy evening of music and community at Chase’s Riverside Dining located in the Clubhouse Restaurant at Louisville Landing Recreation. The stars of the night? The BlackWater Duo, whose live performance captivated both locals and newcomers alike.

As the duo’s melodies harmonized in the air, the atmosphere buzzed with a unique blend of excitement and familiarity. Among the attendees were Kris, who had recently moved to the area, and his mother, visiting from out of state.

Kris, still new to Massena’s local scene, was particularly struck by the atmosphere. “It’s great to see where the locals come hang out for live music. The energy here reminds me of some of the small town bars we’ve visited in our travels” he commented, his voice reflecting a sense of nostalgia. “And these guys…” he points to The BlackWater Duo, “their voices are fantastic…”

Jarina, sharing in the evening’s enjoyment, found delight not just in the music, but also in the food. “The crab cakes here are simply delicious, reminds me of some of my favorite food in England,” she said with a smile. “But also, this place has the same vibes as the pubs back home where everyone knows everyone. It’s quite heartwarming.”

The evening was not just about great music and food, but also about the connections made and the sense of belonging fostered. As the night drew to a close, it was evident that events like these are the heartbeat of Massena – bringing people together and showcasing the local talent and hospitality.

And for those who missed this week’s performance, there’s good news: they will be back on December 29th for a Pre-New Year’s Bash, promising another night of unforgettable entertainment. Listen to more of The BlackWater Duo here: https://www.youtube.com/c/ShawnDStoddard.

As Kris put it, “It’s nights like these that make you appreciate the small-town charm.”
